01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Shelves of brewing gear and roasted coffee beans line the front of the shop, guiding visitors past the entrance to a quiet counter in the back. The appeal of Cafe Sucré - coffee and roaster rests on two pillars: an unhurried pour-over experience prepared cup by cup right across the counter, and an unusually thoughtful selection of decaffeinated drinks for times when caffeine is off the table.

The drip coffee lineup features prized Geisha and high-specialty beans, highlighting floral aromas and delicate fruitiness coaxed out right before your eyes, alongside single-origin options that celebrate the character of specific terroirs. A hand-drip decaf is also on hand, retaining generous aroma and depth so guests can unwind without giving up the pleasures of specialty coffee.

Milk-based drinks show equal versatility. Beyond the classic cappuccino and caffe latte, the counter prepares lattes made with oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, and rice koji milk. Most espresso-based drinks can also be switched to decaf, making it easy to tailor each beverage to personal routines or dietary preferences.

For sweets to accompany a cup, the kitchen turns out popular house-made waffles that are crisp on the outside and chewy within, available plain or topped with mixed berries or chocolate and nuts. Specialty coffee shops rarely give dessert this much attention, but here you will also find decaf coffee jelly finished with soy cream, decaf latte soft-serve ice cream, and affogato drowned in freshly pulled espresso.

When you want something more substantial, Cuban sandwiches provide a satisfying savoury bite, including a Margherita version loaded with melted mozzarella, tomato, and savoury bacon toasted on crunchy bread. Opening at 8:00 in the morning, the cafe serves equally well as a peaceful morning retreat or a welcoming pit stop during a neighborhood stroll.
